Looking for a Photographer!!

OK, so it’s time. As you can tell by the last time I posted to my blog, I am too busy to keep up with it. I have done better on Facebook, but have even slacked there a bit. I need some help!

I am looking to hire a photographer to shoot for me. Let me tell you about this person that I am looking to hire:

This photographer will be really cool. Easy going, and really nice, but not shy. And definitely not afraid to take control of a group of people. This photographer will have some really great work. Work that is fresh, and creative. Someone with new and exciting idea’s. Someone who is bold and driven, someone who has their own ideas and style. Someone who has passion for photography, and a fun personality.

Is this person you? Or do you know this person? Then I want to talk to ya!

This is on a pay-per-job basis and if clients like and order your images, you will get a percentage of that as well. What do you think? Interested? Let me know.

Email me at:

kellydavid@galleryphotography.com

Give me links to some of the work you have shot. I will want to see lots of it to get a good feel of how you shoot, and what your style is. Once you pass the portfolio test, we’ll want to meet you and find out how awesome you are. Maybe even go on a shoot with you to see you in action. Nervous? Don’t be. It will be awesome.

Oh, one more thing, you have to have a pretty decent availability. Nothing is worse than trying to book shoots for someone who is never available!

It’s ALIVE!!

Well, after much effort, it is finally alive. Our new website is up and running. I still have to finish the family side of it, but the wedding side is ready to go. For those of you who frequent the blog, I would ask a special favor of you. Please go to my site and check for errors. Check for grammar, spelling, things not working, etc… and then e-mail me those problems. I would much appreciate it. I am too close to it to notice everything.

Now that the new site is up, I promise I will be getting more blog posts going. The lack of posts is not due to the lack of shoots, it is due to the lack of time. Hopefully that will change now.

Happy new years everyone!

Love it Kel!

I love it! I think it’s awesome. Just so you know, there is something wrong in your comment where you ask to have people check your grammar, etc. I think you need to insert the word “ask” in the 4th sentence.

Katie

Way to go, Kelly(s)! The site looks great and we are so glad to have had you do so many of our pictures in the past. Keep up the fantastic work!

Jenny

Kelly, that site is awesome! There are some really great shots on there. It almost makes me want to get married again. Except that I’d have to get married again, and there would be all that planning and pleasing everyone and uncomfortable shoes… nevermind, I don’t want to get married again. But I bet your awesome new website would definitely make someone who has never been married want to get married. Rambling. Done now.

Jenny

One more from me, what is supposed to happen when you click on the info button?

Kelly, Love the new website great design and very functional.

Wow! Nice! Everything you do is perfection! Thanks for making our family look good!

New Website, and Thank You.

So my website is really outdated, yes I have noticed. I have been working on a new one, and it will be live towards the end of this month (that is partially why my postings have dropped). Anyway, I want it to have a section that has former brides commenting on what their experience was with Gallery. So if you are willing, I would appreciate you either posting in the comments of THIS post or if you are shy you can E-MAIL me directly a few kind words that I can use to lure other unsuspecting brides:)I would like to have those in the next week or so, so that when the website debuts the comments will be there.

I am way behind on the family version of the website, so if you are a previous family client, your comments and e-mails are welcome, but those will not appear until sometime in late January (hopefully).

A big thank you to all for your support of us through these years! It is so wonderful to have a job that we love that also puts food on our table. It has been amazing to get to know all of you and feel close enough to call so many of you friends. We hope your holiday season is wonderful!

Kelly and Kelly

I’m excited to see the new site, and will gladly gush on your fabulous skills. :)

Kelly,
Oh my goodness. Where to begin… you made my husband who HATES getting his picture taken so relaxed. We had so much fun at every shoot we had with you. Even if the pictures were crappy (which they totally weren’t!) we were so glad you were at our wedding. Even my mother-in-law loved you. And she’s a tough person to please!
Our wedding photographs are beyond beautiful. You captured every single detail from the decorations to the food to the guests laughing and my family being together.
The shots you did of me and Brandon bring tears to my eyes every time I look at them. They are full of emotion and so artistic. My friends are all jealous that they didn’t know about you when they got married. Their pictures look the same as each others and they all had different photographers!
Sorry about the length of this comment, but I just can’t say enough about you. So, I’ll sum it all up by saying YOU ROCK!

Alicia & Ryan Rothe

Kelly,
When Ryan and I opted for the quick 1-month engagement, we really limited ourselves as to availability and time. I am not a traditional bride, who’s dreamt about her perfect wedding since childhood. All I wanted was to capture the memories of that special day. That you did with creativity and style. You squeezed us into to your tight schedule and accomodated ourevery desire with ease. The outcome of our pictures was more than we ever could have imagined. From the moment you told Ryan to lean into me and “get his swerve on” during our engagements, I knew you were the perfect photographer for us! Your personality really is the key to your success. It shines through in your pictures as well as your interaction with clients. You captured all of the incredible emotions that were shared on our wedding day. Thank you for taking the time to get to know US and incorporating that into your work. We will and do recommend you to anyone in search of the “perfect” photographer!

Erin Stutzman

Where would I be with out both Kelly David? Not only does he have an amazing talent with a camera, but he has an uncanny way of making you feel like family…!!!

With my wedding I had a bridesmaid that was showing a lot of cleavage in a photo… and she was told to put the girls away!!!
HA!!! Which was amazing… not only because it was funny, but because I really appreciated it! There were a lot of amazing photo’s taken, that she was in and I didn’t want to have to throw all of those away! I don’t know if I have ever thanked you for that!

I have sent everyone I know to Gallery from wedding to pregnancy photos… I have sent everyone I know to this studio. The experience that you get here is second to none, and I don’t even have to start in about the photos because they speak for themselves.

Gallery has a way of speaking the truth with grace and tenaciousness! As well as capturing your wedding in the light that YOU want it done in… Gallery works for the Bride and Groom… not the MOB or MOG!! And that is refreshing!

Thank you Kelly!

Wow, guys, thanks so much! These are all so kind and a little embarrassing. Especially, your’s Erin, I definitely don’t remember saying that!!! Hopefully that was said in complete jest with someone that was comfortable with me. If not, my complete apologies!

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly!

You know how I can ramble on! So, I am sitting here trying to think of how I can concisely sum up the ‘magic’ that is you, without gushing on for hours! So, where to begin?..I believe your work more than speaks for itself. You have a natural gift that allows you to truly sum up the essence of your subjects and freeze-frame perfect moments in time. I still look back through our wedding album frequently and run through the gamut of emotions as the day plays out. You tell the story but beyond that, you find those little gems that perhaps where overlooked in the blur and excitement of the day. The quiet exchanges between family members, the moments of tenderness, emotion, laughter, tears. It really boils down to one thing; it’s not the mechanics of taking technically great shots but rather the guy behind the lens. You got to know John and I and all the ‘characters’ in our story (and BOY were there some characters). Your personality, your humor and warmth are what make all of this work and what makes your work so unique and matchless. YOU were the icing on the cake!!

…And I keep coming back for more! Here we are, almost four years on from that wonderful wedding day and you are still capturing our life’s story. We are almost at the end of my son Caleb’s first year and you have, month after month, surpassed yourself with the most wonderful shots of him that display his quirky personality and his character as it has evolved. Thank you, Kelly, a million times over, for everything!

….Guess I need to hurry and have another little one so I can keep you in business LOL!!!

Desiree W

my wedding pics were anything but cheesey – and that was something to be very pleased about. it seems like so much of the wedding world is so overdone and tacky and it was quite refreshing to have my pictures done in a manner that was unique and suitable to mine and my hubby’s taste. excellent work! will definitely have kelly photograph me again! :)

Thanks to all who e-mailed and commented. The site is up so you can see your comments on our site now!

Thanks again!

Natasha Ball Saxton

I can not even put into words how much I loved my wedding day due in large part to you. You captured the true emotions that I felt that day. I love how our album turned out also and take it out and look at it often to reminisce. I will always be thankful for all the moments you caught on camera for us,
