Joy Of Weddings

I have had the wonderful opportunity of shooting some the best weddings ever this year, and these are no exception. Great people, great locations, etc… I am really blessed to have the job I have. The first wedding here is Kaysha and Josh. What wonderful people these guys are and how great it is to have worked so closely with Kaysha and her mom Carla. I truly feel I am a member of the Llewellyn family! Anyway, enough of the gushy stuff, here are my favorites from quite a spectacular wedding!

Next we have the wedding of Alix and Colby. I have never seen a closer group of people in my life. The wedding was a relaxed intimate affair with everyone knowing and loving each other. It was really a treat to shoot and get to know them. Here are my favorites:

Now this one isn’t really a wedding. It is a 70th surprise birthday party for Sam Parker thrown by his children. What an absolutely wonderful this event was to see the love that the kids as well as the birthday boy’s friends have for him! It was a great honor to shoot this and gave me ideas about doing the same for my dad. Here are my favorites from the party:

Next we have Jocelyn and Brennan. This wedding was in the bride’s backyard and let me tell you the weather looked to put a damper on the whole thing. With a fair bit of luck and I’m sure tons of prayers the weather passed by. There was only one brief shower that came and went pretty quickly. It was an absolutely beautiful setting with more flowers than I think I have ever seen at a wedding! It truly was beautiful.

Next is Nicole and Te. If you frequent this blog you have been starring quite a bit at their engagement images, as they were the first images on the blog before this post. Another backyard wedding with beautiful flowers. I love weddings at peoples homes. I think it adds a personal touch to the whole event. These two needed no help from me in terms of direction, they were having plenty of fun without me. It was great. Here are my favorites from their wedding:

Last, and definitely not least is Kim and Cliff. I was talking to the sisters and I think we came to the conclusion that this is the 4th wedding for them (interestingly enough, Jocelyn above was the 4th wedding from their family as well). The Giles came to our studio way back when, well, I guess before we even had a studio! The consultation for the first wedding for them was done in our apartment, before we even had a studio! Boy how time flies. Well it was a great time seeing and catching up with everyone. Here are my favorites:

I have to say, engagment shoots are my favorites. You get around cool couples, in cool places taking cool shots –shots that wouldn’t fly for a family shoot. I have always loved them, and no matter the season if you get a daring couple, the sky is the limit. Here are my favorites:

Wow, I have been seeing a ton of the kids lately! They are too cute and are good fun to shoot, however they usually don’t listen to directions very well. Oh well, I guess that’s what’s to be expected. Let’s just say brides and grooms are much easier, (although some groom’s can be tough).

The Beginning Of The Flood

Since it is family season, you will probably get sick of seeing all the family sessions that I post in the coming months. Well, these few are the start of the flood of family sessions. The nice thing about shooting mostly families instead of weddings is that I get my nights off (no receptions). Although, come Christmas time my wife is ready for me to get out and shoot some weddings!

Seniors, But Not Really

Here are some of the latest seniors sessions. I say but not really because Blake is a bit late coming in, and these aren’t even really senior shots for April (sorry April). But the category works so nicely; doesn’t it? What ever you want to call them, here are the ones I thought were cooool.
