Weddings
Dated: 25 Mar 2008
These weddings represent the last of the winter weddings for me here, as it has now become springtime! Amen to that. Springtime is one of my very favorite times to shoot, the warmth, the flowers, the sun, the warmth, the…… warmth. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy shooting in the winter months, but there is nothing like coming from winter into spring.
The first wedding below, is actually my latest. It was just this last weekend. The ceremony was held OUTSIDE! Now, it seemed like some of the guests were a bit cold, but I’m sure no one cared. We were outside again! These two were completely awesome. Such an absolutely fun couple. I still remember meeting Jennifer for the first time. It was at a bridal fair and she ran up to our display and all excitedly told me that she loved my pictures because everyone looks so happy in them! That fits her style very well, as she seems always so happy and outgoing! Her groom Kyle is such a great guy, these two are bound to have a long, HAPPY life together!

Engagement

Keep in mind that in Utah it is winter, and it is cold! All of these, except for the first one were very cold shoots. The first one seemed as if spring was finally going to break though, I think it hit 50 degrees! Some very tough couples braved the weather and the shots are great because of their toughness!

Bridal Images
Dated: 4 Mar 2008
If you can believe it, people still get married in the winter. And yes, brides are even willing to step out into the elements for great shots. They’re such troopers. Make no doubt about it, it was cold at each one of these sessions. Very cold. But each bride was awesome!

Babies/Kids
Dated: 4 Mar 2008
The start of the new year is always the season for kids and baby shoots. I seem to have a ton of them, but don’t misunderstand, I love them. I’m usually pretty good at making a fool of myself and getting kids to smile, and gaining their trust. Some sessions are different. The first images below are of a little girl named Jenna. We had her scheduled for the studio. They arrived, and she was fine, but once she saw that photo equipment it was over. She made up her mind there would be no smiling, no posing, no sitting still. And there wasn’t. The one shot from in front of the studio, is of her walking away from me with her mom. She was fine with that pose. So we rescheduled for somewhere she may feel more comfortable, grandma’s house. Things went much better there, and with patience and coaxing, I think we got some great stuff!
